maniera greca :
A formal Byzantine style that dominated Italian painting in the twelfth and thirteenth centuries. It’s characterized by shallow space and linear flatness of subjects in work.

Buon fresco : (Italian for true fresco)
Fresco painting technique in which watercolors are applied to plaster when it is still wet.

Fresco-secco (or a secco)
Fresco painting technique in which watercolors are applied to dry plaster that has been moistened to simulate fresh plaster.
