Cold Wolf Moon

Wednesday, January 23rd, 2008

This cold Moon marks the season when the “wolves” in our lives are driven with more menacing purpose than ever fueled by lusts, envy and the hungers of Winter. Maddened wolves be they creditors, neighbors, pesky annoyances of superficial sorts all heap upon you overwhelmingly digging their vulture sharp talons into your psyche ripping their own share of flesh from your hopeful soul. Creatures of all creation cling unto our life giving energy and soul’s warmth for they seem to lurk closer to you now than any other time of the year like an evil breath against your neck! Families oft draw nearer, tighter together closer about the home ’round fires as they listen to the haunting howls of the wolves outside at the dark anti-hour of night. The strong providers of the hedge take the brunt of the cold sting of death and bear the scars of the night come the next dawn; whilst all the weaker of the fold cuddle silently holding steadfast to the promise of an early spring.

If has been a challenging Year 2007….Both Good and Bad!!

In Business:
Aaron has been doing really well since we moved back to New Jersey!! He had contracts this year with INGDirect & HotWire Communications then the New Year he will be starting with a contract for Widener University. He has also Launched several websites for private clients this year and is in negotiations for several more.

He continues to work in conjunction with Concepts-LLC on TheNightClubRevolution.com to make the Entertainment Complex in California a reality. Also this year, Aaron was Key Note speaker at the Graduation of the Art Institute of Cincinnati where he was able to share is journey of being and Artist, Business Owner and Entrepreneur with the students and faculty.

Aaron has also been blessed to make the acquaintance of Ruth Pearl, mother of Daniel Pearl, and is striving to assist her in the new year with The Daniel Pearl Foundation and their efforts to inspire a sense of unity and purpose thru music.

Heather continues to run the helm of Aaron’s freelance business with Marketing, Invoicing and Design assistance. She also switched her personal career path from 12 years in Cardiology to now working in Occupational Medicine. It has been a great experience so far and one she is looking forward to continuing into the next year

In Art & Movies:
Aaron was commissioned to do several paintings over the last year and is in the works for at least 2 more starting in ‘08. He presented comedian & actress Kathy Griffin with a personal portrait that she used as a stage prop on tour, Gwen Stefani autographed her painting jumping off stage during her concert and Jeremiah Trotter, former Eagle, sat down with Aaron to discuss business, his charity, and autographed his painting. Aaron is now hoping to promote for charity in ‘08 the two paintings he has already completed of Jon Bon Jovi on a website he will design to auction off the paintings with ALL proceeds going to www.projecthome.org in Philadelphia.

He has also made great strides in the Movie industry. He now has 5 registered screenplays with the Writers Guild of America West and has contacted people such as M. Knight Shyamalan, Robert De Niro, Plan B Productions, Milla Jovovich, & Ed Harris to discuss the possibility of putting ‘one in the can’ in the next 5 years.

In Family:
Heather and Aaron continue to make every effort to keep the family close even though we are spread out over several states. We invited the Anderson parents out this summer for our first Family vacation and their first time ‘Down the Shore’ in July. Then in August we were able to enjoy a Hawaiian weekend getaway at the resort with our Nephew and Heather’s Mom for the first time, We had a blast!! Aaron is now Addicted to Ocean City and our Family Resort. We will probably be spending much more time there this year!

We have enjoyed the challenge of up keep of both homes and have actually worked out all the kinks with opening and closing the pool, thanks to Heather’s Mom, but we are still working on mastering the lawn and shrubbery care…. We have had some flooding issues in the downstairs of the one house this year that has been devastating to both the financial and sentimental aspects of Heather’s parents lives but we are hoping we have rectified that and will be able to put things back together in ‘08.

Heather’s Dad is still not doing very well but we continue to try and make life as comfortable as we can for both him and her mom. It is sad that this Christmas he will be spending it in the Hospital but we managed to bring some Christmas spirit to him anyway. He is the only patient in the Hospital with his very own tree with tinkling lights and round the clock visitors!! “One for all and ALL for ONE!!”

Our Nephew has been making great strides this year too!! He has been student of the month EVERY month and received ALL A’s his first marking period. He never ceases to amaze us with his humor, charm and unconditional love. Although his mommy is no longer here to guide him we believe she must be a very influential guardian angel because he is becoming more and more like her every day!!

We are looking forward to a more productive 2008 in the way of expanding our family. We are hoping that by the end of 2008 we have a new addition(s) to our family whether it be by biological means, adoption or by becoming Foster Parents. Keeping our fingers crossed that the next Christmas letter we post will include the introduction of such individual(s).

Lastly, we remain to always endeavor to Pay it Forward and encourage others to do the same.

Grab ‘08 and run,

J. Aaron & Heather Anderson

Christmas is coming!!!

Sunday, December 9th, 2007

With all that has gone on for my family the last few years Christmas is becoming not such a big deal to us anymore. It seems like this time of the year is the WORST time of the year!!!

With the exception of spending time with our Nephew. He truly is the only light we have left and the twinkle that keeps Christmas ALIVE!

You see last year when Mom-Mom and I took him to see Santa we had to tell him that I wanted to see Santa and then when we got there he sat on his lap and then we left we thought it was just that easy. When we got to the car he said “Shoppy you forgot to sit on Santa’s lap!” I said “Oh man, your right let me call him right now!” I called on my cell phone and let a very detailed message for Santa ;0)

SO THIS YEAR, we think its going to be just that simple again. We are at the mall on Black Friday and we were doing some shopping (from midnight thanksgiving but thats a whole other story..33 hours of no sleep) and had lunch at the food court, we finished lunch and I noticed that the line wasnt very long for Santa so I said “oooh I wanna see Santa” instructed my Mom to take the lil’ man down the elevator and I took a beeline down the stairs for the line. While were in line he is enjoying the lights and characters of the display….UNTIL

We get closer then he starts saying “Shoppy your the only one sitting with Santa, right??” I said “why dont you wanna see Santa??” He says “Nah, he just a Fat guy in a suit!” With that my mom and I laughed and said “No he’s the guy that takes all the wishes of the boys and girls and gives it to the Santa in the North Pole, That he is his helper” We were pretty sure he bought it ’cause he said “oh I see”. We get a few steps closer and he still insists I am the only one siting on Santa’s lap. I asked he to please just stand by him so we could get a picture but he still refused. We his current weakness happens to be Poke’man Cards. So I pulled the bribe…..I offered to buy him Poke’man cards if he would please take a picture with Santa. He bit!! So I think we are in the clear now up for his chance to see Santa and the lady comes up and asks the question they usually ask so they can clue Santa in “What is the name?? ” With that lil’ man speaks up and says “Shoppy, she’s sitting on his lap first!” I looked at him and just laughed… So like a good Aunt I sat on Santa chair and told him what was going on…..He winked.

Then it was the big moment came Would he or Wouldnt he see Santa???

HE DID!!!!……

and the minute he hopped off his lap he said “Shoppy we’re going to get my Poke’man cards now right??”

I just laughed again and said “Yes we’re going to get your cards now…..

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!

INT. 20 LANES - THE BAR
John drinks alone. Pissed at life. At death.
That small black box of his lies on the table unopened.
Spider runs across the table. John flips an empty glass,
traps it underneath. He takes a drag on his cigarette,
tips the glass and blows smoke inside. Spider can’t
escape the poison air, bumps the glass. Trapped. Dying.
JOHN
Welcome to my life.

Christmas Trees

Tuesday, December 5th, 2006

I remember when I was little, our Grandfather went out into the woods along our Farm and cut down that season’s tree and literally drug it into the living room. I remember being little staring all the way up it as it towered over me. I will never forget christmas at my grandparent’s farm. It’s like a rosebud moment for me. This tradition I love and my wife has continued it today at our new home for our first wedding christmas together …

Did you know?
The first decorated Christmas was in Riga, Latvia in 1510.

Tradition began in Riga Latvia

Magic in the Borough

Saturday, October 21st, 2006

It is just like out of a storybook that in the humble little towns are where the extrordinary tales lie dormant; waiting for someone with a vision to find them polish them and launch them from thier fear of the unknown and create legend.

In the little town here is an exciting little theatre just reopened and reconditioned ready for the silver screen to light the way and fill our hearts with hope and hollywood dreams…

It is so magical to see the children run up to the box office and get a ticket for a magical journey that only an enchanted theater such as this can provide them.

This borough is a neat place full of heritage and tradition, and what better item, what better jewel to crown the community than to be a part of reushering in hollywood magic.
