George Michael ***UPDATE***

Monday, July 28th, 2008

We were able to give the Painting to George Michael !!!

We are truly grateful to ALL the people who made that happen. Although we did not manage to meet him we were told by his Tour Manager that he checked with George, who doesn’t normally except gifts at shows, and George Michael said he would ‘accept it personally’.

We do hope that George Michael enjoys the painting or is able to use it for his
Goss-Michael Foundation

George Michael put on such a Great show!! He looks and sounds amazing in person !!
Here is an assortment of Photos Aaron and I took from the concert !

This weekend I painted the twins who are like my God-children or adopted nephews. They call Heather ‘Shoppy’ and me Uncle Aaron…..Their parents are very good friends of the family…..
I did both portraits so quick I suppose because I knew their faces well so I didnt have to study their features much at all…
I sketched them practically by heart.

These acrylic paintings are 10″ x 16″ done by JAaronAnderson.com
Price if these had been purchased would have been $350 each Portrait

For their Mom for Mother’s Day = PRICELESS

Art Gallery Dedication

Saturday, May 3rd, 2008

Last night was such an incredible honor for our dear friend Dr Ross Beitzel.

Picture Courtesy of: Chuck Schang (Gang Photographer)

Many friends and esteemed colleagues showed for the event. Even people he has not seen for many years. It was a catered event with wine & cheese as well as a Harpist playing throughout the evening. Patrick (another friend of ours) & Aaron found a unique way to present Aaron’s Painting of Ross to him. They hung it on the wall near the front door. After only a minute or two many people strolling the gallery stopped and looked at the painting, they started to inquire about the artist and looking in the program to see the listing for the painting. With that Patrick said “He’s the Artist” and threw Aaron in front of everyone…..

It was great networking in the Art Community for Aaron at that point but we were most excited to see when Ross would notice it hanging and what his response would be to Aaron immortalizing and honoring him…..

More and more people gathered up front by the painting then they called Ross upfront for some pictures…..He still didnt notice it, Then one of Ross’ friends said “I am interested in this painting behind you, but its not listed. How much is it?”

With that Ross spun around and saw the painting….He was sooo shocked and flattered, He couldnt stop smiling.

Here is Aaron and Dr Ross Beitzel with the painting last evening

CONGRATULATIONS Dr Ross Beitzel !!!

Special thanks again to Chuck for the Pictures…..

Dedication to an Admired Friend

Thursday, May 1st, 2008

Dr Ross Beitzel has been a friend of Heather’s for many years….

When we moved back to the East Coast she introduced me to him and he has become a very good friend, mentor, and confidant.
He has done many great things for the Art Community both at Gloucester County College and the State as a whole.  In recognition of his contributions, hard work and dedications over the years they are renaming the Art Gallery tomorrow evening to be the Dr Ross Beitzel Art Gallery.

Heather & I couldnt be more happy for him!!

To show our congratulations and honor of our good friend I did a portrait of Ross to present to him tomorrow evening…..

Detail Study

Saturday, August 25th, 2007

Ok recently, I have been immursing myself in the YUI Framework

getting it under my belt enough to redo my splash landing page. but even my wife kids me on how she needs to speak in logic syntax to get me to sweep the house or change out the cat’s litter lol…

needless to say I took a quick break this evening, so I scanned in one of my favorite shirts I did back in 1997 at Anything Airbrushed in Cincinnati . Although I sold it (damn) for like $150.00 I regret it now…

At least I can do another myself lol…

I always enjoyed the detail I did in this particular piece …

Althouugh it took me longer to paint than I let myself toil commonly on any one piece of work, this was real good stippling of white opaque paint that sure turned out good and paid off as it built up good sweat detail.

its been a while since Ive done many sports related paintings…

Ill stop programming a bit now - so I dont burn out - and knock out some portraits like of the Phillies baseball Team I think next…

The Kucewicz Family Photo

Tuesday, June 12th, 2007

Here is the final photo of the painting I was telling all of you about last week.

Aaron was comissioned by Mrs Kucewicz to do this very special painting for her new husband for Father’s Day.

This is a mix-media painting 18 x 24 ready to hang canvas.

Est Value $625.00 and to the Kucewicz Family….Priceless!

Aaron designed this from over 10-15 different pictures of the family as they did not have one picture with all four of them in it.

We will post the Family’s comments after Father’s Day….

Gotta go,

Time for the ” D-List “……
