This day is celebrated to complete external physical manifestation… all energies are about exerting the will. In ancient times it was considered a time of fullness of life, worldly blessings and celebration. Not much has changed today in how we look at summer…
We see it as a time of vacations, play, celebration, fun, joviality, parties, and barbecues with family and friends at the beach or park. Based on a simple natural programming that since days are longer, this gives us more time to enjoy the sun and soak in it’s warmth. The same can be said with my soul at Ocean City…

At noon, the “solar hour”, go into a secret garden or wooded area and honor the sun and earth. Not only will you spare yourself from The Happening lol, but you’ll honestly be refreshed! Midsummer is a day of very potent magic, a time when the otherworld is close, and it is possible to see into the future.
In the past, a wide variety of Midsummer divination techniques were employed by country people. In fact, many of these techniques are employed even today–farmers view the weather on the solstice as a potential indicator of the bounty of the harvest. Rains on this day indicate a poor and wet grain harvest, but a large crop of apples and pears.
The Summer Solstice celebrates the joy, warmth and laughter of summer; and the Great powers beyond ourselves. The beginning of summer represents a time for purification, renewal of the self, a time to release the sadness, fears and pains from your life. A time for purification and renewed energy.
